My intense curiosity about relationship dynamics and family systems led me to pursue my graduate education and training in marriage and family therapy.
As a New York State Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I bring to my practice my authentic curiosity about you, your life, family, relationships and how you experience yourself in relation to your world. I believe that in order to understand my client’s experiences fully, it is essential to incorporate more than one model or theory into our work. In addition to my training in family systems and psychodynamics, I am also trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and I integrate Experiential Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Narrative Therapy into my practice. Using a collaborative approach, I feel I empower my clients to fully participate in the process of self-exploration and discovery. Through this process of unfolding and becoming increasingly self-aware, I find that mindfulness develops organically.
I work with individuals, couples, families, and groups with everyday struggles as well as with the more trying times in their lives. My areas of specialty are anxiety, depression, life transitions, women’s issues, LGBTQ concerns, parenting, late bloomers (coming out later in life), sexuality, and divorce.
