Frequently Asked Questions
My fees depend on the length of the session and services provided. I offer sliding scale fees for people with financial constraints and you should feel free to ask about this.
What days and times are you available?
At this time sessions are by appointment only, Monday through Friday.
Do you accept insurance?
No, I am not a provider for any insurance company. Payment for services is due at the time of service. If you wish to obtain reimbursement by your insurance company according to your out-of-network benefit schedule, I can provide a receipt for services rendered. I recommend that you first call about your benefits, verify out-of-network coverage for mental health services, and if the services will be reimbursed if provided by a Marriage and Family Therapist. Also ask if you have a deductible, how much it is, and at what percent you will be reimbursed.
How often are sessions scheduled?
I offer weekly to twice weekly psychotherapy sessions. Together we can decide on the necessary frequency.
How long is each session?
Individual sessions are 45 minutes in length, and couples sessions are 60 minutes. When appropriate I may provide longer or double sessions.
What forms of payment are accepted?
All payments are accepted as either cash or check made out to Samantha Fox, LMFT. Payment is collected at the end of each session.
I work collaboratively with other professionals.
If at the time of treatment we decide that your reason for seeking treatment is beyond the scope of my practice, please know that it is my policy to find you the best fit, and sometimes that means referring you to another therapist.
